Cambridge Police investigating shooting that injures 17-year-old
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday night that injured one teenager.
Around 6:18 p.m., CPD officers responded to the 700 block of High St. between Washington St. and Lincoln Terrace for a “Shot Spotter” alert reporting multiple shots fired.
While officers were on their way to the location, they learned that a person had been shot.
When they arrived on scene, they found a 17-year-old male from Cambridge with a gun shot wound to the lower abdomen.
He was then taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Cambridge prior to being flown to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police Aviation.
Multiple shell casings were found at the scene and a nearby residence sustained damage from the gun fire.
Police say currently, there is no suspect information.
