Crisfield Arts Syndicate Awarded Funding for New Performing Arts Theater
CRISFIELD, Md. – The Crisfield Arts Syndicate (CSA) announced that they have received a grant that will allow them to construct a new performing arts theater in the area.
The 2,800 square foot theater will be located in their Gallery 413 building, found at 413 West Main Street in Crisfield. CSA leaders say the addition of a performing arts theater will permit partnerships with local organizations and schools to nurture the next generation of artists.
“We are deeply honored to receive this support,” said Crisfield Arts Syndicate President Trish Kotzen. “With this grant, we will be able to increase our performing arts offerings, invest in state-of-the-art equipment, and launch new educational initiatives for local youth and adults.”
The grant is provided by the Maryland State Arts Council. Additionally, under an ongoing partnership with the Lower Shore Performing Arts Company, this grant will allow an expansion of programming in upgraded facilities and the ability to foster talent development for both emerging and established artists.
Upcoming projects and initiatives for the space include an expanded season featuring new performances, renovations to enhance audience experience and comfort, and community workshops and outreach programs.
