WMDT’s Kindness Tip Of the Day for Feb. 19

SALISBURY, Md. – This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week from KindSBY.

There are no limits to kindness, big or small you can make a difference in someone’s day and that can ripple outwards. Today, KindSBY is delivering sheet cakes to local hospital emergency room staff for a “Sweet Thanks” day. In that spirit, today’s Kindness Tip of the Day, brought to you by Schell Brothers, is to show your appreciation.

Taking the time to notice the hard work someone is doing can make them feel like their efforts don’t go unnoticed and can make their day.

You can show your appreciation in a minor or major way; whether that’s spending time and energy to surprise a group of people with a gift, leaving someone a handwritten note, or telling someone you appreciate them — whether you know them or not — can all go a long way.

When someone feels seen, it encourages them to keep going even when it feels hard. When you show you appreciate someone, you’re showing you see them. You never know, going out of your way to show your appreciation just make the world a little bit brighter, a little bit more connected and a little bit kinder.
