Seaford boy’s basketball soars over Hornets on senior night

SEAFORD, Del. – Seaford boy’s basketball took down Early College 74-32 Friday night in Seaford.

Early College kept the game close early on, trailing 8-6 with just over two minutes remaining in the first quarter. Seaford closed the first frame strong, leading 12-6 heading into the second quarter.

From that point, the Blue Jays offense erupted, with 25 points in the second quarter followed by 27 more in the third. Seaford closed out the game easily, rolling up their 13th consecutive victory.

On senior night, the senior trio of Vincent Evans (19 points), Aizyon Matthews (15 points), and Areon Purnell (12 points) combined for over half of the Blue Jays’ offensive output.
