Single-Vehicle Crash in Millsboro Kills One
MILLSBORO, Del. – The Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed one on Wednesday night.
Around 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 11, an Audi A4 was traveling southbound on Legion Road, approaching a sharp left curve near a private driveway. For reasons currently under investigation, the vehicle failed to negotiate the curve and exited the west edge of the roadway before striking a concrete culvert pipe. The vehicle became airborne and then overturned before striking a row of trees.
The driver, a 60-year-old man from Millsboro, was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name is being withheld until his family is notified.
