FEDERALSBURG, Md. – Two top teams in the Bayside were meeting for the second time this season.

We start early in the first half, with the score 12 to 7 favoring the Colonels as leading scorer Jazir Dickerson gets the steal and takes it home for the slam.

Colonel Richardson held a double-digit lead throughout the game, but Cambridge showed some heart and determination.

Cambridge’s Kmarion Hall in the low-post gets to his spot and gets the layup plus the foul call.

Cambridge fighting to stay in the game, but after an errant pass Makiah Batson gets the steal, and takes it to the cup for the deuce.

Lashawn Allen is a special talent, he drives to the basket for the quick score.

By the end of the 4th quarter, the Vikings were back in the game and even took the lead. Kmarion Hall saved the possession and tipped it to Dionte Lyons for the score.

In the end, Colonel Richardson’s fast-paced offense was just too much. The Colonels won 68-62 to cement their hold on the Bayside North.

WMDT spoke with Dickerson after the game.

“I mean, we lost the first time, and all we knew was that it was not going to be easy. We got to hit the boards – everybody had to rebound. You know us coming to the games and staying with our assignments the whole time, and when we got down, we just learned to face adversity, break up each other and kept battling.”
