Henlopen clash: Bulldogs edge Wildcats in 5-point thriller

 

LAUREL, Del. – The Laurel Bulldogs secured a 55–50 win over the Delmarva Wildcats in a competitive Henlopen Conference matchup between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds.

The game stayed close throughout, with both teams trading baskets and defensive stops. Delmarva showed strong effort on the boards and in transition, highlighted by an and-one finish from Za’Bryan Eley and a key steal and score from Darius Liles. The Wildcats also moved the ball well offensively, creating opportunities in the paint and knocking down timely perimeter shots.

Laurel responded with balanced scoring and patient ball movement. The Bulldogs executed in the half court, finding open looks inside and capitalizing during key possessions late in the game.

In the end, Laurel’s late-game execution helped them pull away and secure the five-point victory in this Henlopen rivalry contest.
