Md. residents hit polls for early voting

Voters in Maryland have hit the polls for early voting.

Counties on the Mid and Lower Eastern Shore have one voting precinct per county; however, Queen Anne’s County does offer two different places.

47 ABC stopped by the Gull Creek Senior Living Community in Berlin around noon, when a line was out the door.

Election officials in Worcester Count say as of 4 p.m., 642 people have cast their ballots.

Voters we spoke to say they’ve never seen this many people come out for the first day of early voting.

“It’s busy, but I have never seen the lines curve all the way out the streets so obviously more people are voting,” says Ocean Pines resident Kathleen Brennan.

Polls will be open until 8 p.m. nightly through November 3.
