Md. volunteer fire dept. receives life-saving equipment

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – One local volunteer fire department just received a new piece of equipment that they say will help them save more lives.

The Neck District Fire Department in Cambridge says that thanks to generous donations from the community, they were able to purchase a LUCAS device, which works as an automatic CPR machine. In the event of cardiac arrest, it provides consistent and accurate chest compressions, increasing the patients chance of survival.
