Easton Wins Ugly At Wi-Hi

It’s not always pretty, but the final score is all that matters. Easton traveled to Wi-Hi Friday night, pulling out a 23-12 win. The win improves the Warriors to 6-3, while the loss drops the Indians 3-6.

The Warriors would get on the board first at the midway point of the second quarter after getting a short touchdown run from Najer Youmens. The Indians would look to answer, getting small burst runs but never being able to compile much of a drive. Both teams offensives were miss firing as the 6-0 lead held til just 10 seconds left in the half. A high snap wold sail over Indians quarterback Jason Patterson’s head, resulting in a safety to push the lead to 8-0 at the break. Paterson would help get his team back in the game though with a 1 yard touchdown run to open up the second half. With the offense still struggling, the Warriors would ice the game with their defense after Zach Strand would take a fumble 73 yards to the house for the score.

Wi-Hi returns to action next Friday when they travel to play Bennett , while Easton travels to Cambridge SD on Friday.
