Monsters of Metal: Blizzard Bash entertains crowds at the Civic Center

SALISBURY, Md. – A big treat for motorheads over the weekend in Salisbury.

Monsters of Metal: Blizzard Bash came to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, with drivers pushing their trucks to the limit in front of a packed crowd.

The Illuminator got things started, flying through the air and showing its power, crushing cars on the landing.
Next up, Toxic showcased its suspension travel, absorbing the bumps before launching into another high jump across the course.

Crush-Station kept the momentum going, rolling through obstacles and flattening cars with ease as the freestyle action continued.

Then Winter Soldier, driven by Ryan Disharoon, took the floor.

Disharoon powered across the dirt and made history, completing the first-ever monster truck backflip inside the Civic Center.

Moments later, Air Mail, driven by Jordan Fisher, attempted a backflip of its own, but the truck came down hard and crumpled under the force of the landing.

When the scores were tallied, Disharoon was crowned this year’s Blizzard Bash freestyle champion.
