Vilov Sisters Pace Parkside Past Easton

The Parkside girls soccer team is headed to the Regional Semifinals after earning a 4-1 win Tuesday afternoon over Easton. The Warriors will now host Queen Anne’s on Friday.

The Rams wasted no time before going to work. Just over 3 minutes into the match, Balir Vilov would dribble up the left side, stop, turn and fire a shot on frame from 35 yards out. The shot would curve and sneak in to the upper 90 to give Parkside the lead. Then just seconds later, Parkside would play another ball into the box that Vilov would get to and send past the keeper to give the Rams a 2-0 lead. The lead would hold for the next 15 minutes before the Rams were at it again. Leah Vilov this time would take a pass at the top of the box, turn and fire a shot far post just past the diving arms of the Warriors keeper. Easton then would finally be able to answer back. They would get the ball on a break away and Olivia Ball would be able to send a shot to the far post that just got inside the post for the score. But the Rams weren’t going to let their lead slip away. Vilov would cap off her hat trick early in the second half as Parkside would hold on for the win.
