Queen Anne’s Caps Off Perfect Regular Season With Bayside Title

The Queen Anne’s volleyball team capped off a perfect regular season with a straight sets sweep in the Bayside Championship game over Bennett. It was the first conference title for the Lions since 1997.
Queen Anne’s would go to work in the first set, getting an early boost from some tough serving from Rebecca Clay. The Clippers would fire right back though as they would go on a run sparked by a couple kills from the left side from Cassie La’Cates. Queen Anne’s would be able to pull out a tight 25-23 win in the first set though and again would build an early lead in the second. Allie Harris would take control of the net, powering her team to the big set win. Lions continued to press in the 3rd when they had their chance to close out the set. Facing match point, Emily Glover would send an attack and get the kill off the deflection for the win.
Both teams return to work next in the state tournament with Queen Anne’s earning a 1st round bye, while Bennett earned a first round bye as well.
