Perdue Farms partners with U.S. Army to support veterans

As Veterans Day approaches, Perdue Farms signed an agreement with the U.S. Army to hire veterans after their time in military service.

Through this partnership, Perdue will be able to hire these qualified veterans for employment through its Partnership for Youth Success Program known as PaYS.

In 2000, the U.S. Army PaYS Program was developed by the U.S. Army Recruiting Command to guarantee a soldier an interview with a PaYS partner employer once they re-enter the civilian workforce.

PaYS soldiers are guaranteed a job interview with a PaYS partner of their choice after completing their training or first term of military service.

Perdue has been working with the Army for the past six months to make this agreement work.

Perdue’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Lester Gray, says this is a great opportunity for both Perdue and the U.S. Army.
