QUEENSTOWN, Md. – The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff (QACOS) has arrested an Annapolis man on vehicle theft, burglary, and drug charges.

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Jaden Taylor after serving a warrant for his arrest on Jan. 20. The warrant charged him with theft between $25,000 and $100,000, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and rogue and vagabond. After being taken into custody, Taylor was additionally charged with fourth degree burglary, three counts of possessing a controlled dangerous substance, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Officers were dispatched to a Queenstown residence for a report of a located stolen vehicle. The caller advised that the car had been stolen from their family member in Easton several days prior.

Deputy First Class (DFC) Zane Doyle arrived on scene and conducted a registration check, confirming the vehicle had been reported stolen. He then made contact with the homeowner, who advised she was unaware of how the vehicle arrived on her property or who had driven it there. The owner of the vehicle arrived at the residence and provided deputies the spare key to unlock the vehicle.

While officers were collecting evidence, a nearby neighbor shouted to deputies that someone was climbing out of the window of the residence. Deputies located Taylor standing next to an open window at the home. He claimed he had dropped his medication and was looking for it. DFC Doyle recognized Taylor as being a wanted suspect in a Dec. 2025 motor vehicle theft case in Queenstown. Officers confirmed the outstanding warrant for Taylor’s arrest, and he was taken into custody.

During a search of Taylor’s person, deputies located multiple controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia. QACOS continues to investigate the stolen motor vehicle case from January.
