Guilty verdict secured for a Dover man

A release from the Delaware Department of Justice reported that Deputy Attorney General Nicole Hartman secured a guilty verdict against a man connected with a 2013 drug investigation.
According to the release, during the summer of 2013, Jamarr Cannon was the subject of a Dover Police Department drug investigation. Officials say that in August, police executing a search warrant at an apartment on Courtside Drive in Dover, found Cannon inside with drugs, weapons, and ammunition.
Cannon was found guilty for possession of firearm ammunition by a person prohibited, and because of a previous conviction for cocaine trafficking, officials note that Cannon is prohibited from having a firearm or ammunition. He will face up to 8 years in prison when sentenced in Kent County Superior Court.
