New intercounty route service opens in Del.

A new intercounty bus service between Dover and Newark is now open for travelers.

The new Route 302 service, launched Monday, links Dover, Smyrna, Townsend, Middletown, Glasgow, and Newark.

The stop in Middletown will include the Amazon Fulfillment Center.

According to DelDot, it will operate four round trips during rush hours.

Delaware Transit’s CEO John Sisson says, “With Amazon and other businesses increasing their workforce for the holiday season, November is the perfect time to implement this service.  Bus Route 302 was designed to provide access to employment and contribute to the State’s continuing economic development.”
