Crisfield High Restricts Basketball Game Attendance Following Altercation
CRISFIELD, Md. – Crisfield High School has announced restrictions to their varsity basketball games attendance after an altercation occurred at their last home match.
In a message posted to the Crisfield High Crabbers’ social media, the school announced that the next game, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 20, would be closed to the public. Attendance will be limited to players, coaches, officials, and required school staff only.
“Somerset County Public Schools values athletics as an extension of the educational experience and expects all school events to reflect good sportsmanship and respect,” the announcement read. “This temporary measure is being taken to ensure student safety and to reinforce expectations for appropriate behavior at school-sponsored events.”
The post thanked families and community members for their understanding in this change.
