Deputy Whipps Recognized by Wicomico American Legion

 

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Tonight’s Good News, brought to you in part by Matt the Carpet Guy, coming from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

Congratulations to Deputy First Class Mallorie Whipps for being recognized by the American Legion Wicomico Post 64 as the 2025 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year!

Deputy First Class Whipps is the School Resource Officer assigned to Bennett Middle School, and serves as a member of the Sheriff’s Office Hostage Negotiation Team. She is often recognized for her dedication to community policing, her exceptional communication skills, and her ability to work with at risk youth.
