Ocean City welcomes the third year of the Martin Luther King Jr. Dreamfest!
OCEAN CITY, Md. — The third annual Martin Luther King Dreamfest kicks off Thursday.
Ocean City is honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a series of events at the Performing Arts Center. The festival will feature a range of performances celebrating King’s impact, beginning with the Pointer Sisters on Thursday. On Friday, several artists will pay tribute to King and the music of the 1960s. The final performance on Saturday will showcase the evolution of pop music, highlighting the songs that influenced today’s pop stars.
Tom Perlozzo, director of tourism and business development for Ocean City, said, “We’re trying to get everybody on board, and especially since it’s a holiday on Monday, we’re encouraging people to come down, enjoy the celebration, and stay in Ocean City for the long weekend.”
