Easton remains undefeated with the dominant win over Kent Island
EASTON, Md.- Coming in on an 18 game win streak, the Easton girls basketball team made it 19 in a row with the big 46-27 win over Kent Island. The loss drops the Bucs to 11-5 on the year.
The Buccaneers started out hot and jumped out to a 6-2 lead. After an Easton timeout with 3:55 to play in the first quarter, the Warriors closed out the first half on a 25-3 run to take the 27-9 lead. Miya Jeter led all scorers at the break with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
In the third quarter, the Buccaneers scored their first points of the half inside the final minute as the Warriors led 35-11 headed into the fourth. KI made a late push in the final quarter behind 7 points from Markaya Lovett to outscore Easton 16-11 in the fourth but it wasn’t enough. Easton got the 46-27 win to remain undefeated.
