DSP Arrest Woman for Fatally Stabbing Her Mother in 2023
DOVER, Del. – The Delaware State Police (DSP) have arrested a woman in connection with a 2023 homicide.
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, police arrested 46-year-old Krista Rule of Wilmington on charges of first degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. She was arraigned and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $2,100,000 cash bond.
Rule’s arrest follows an investigation by the DSP Homicide Unit and an indictment by a Kent County Grand Jury.
On Jun. 25, 2023, troopers responded to Case Ridge Road in Wolf Creek for a report that 72-year-old Denise Wood was found stabbed to death inside of her bedroom.
