Cambridge Rotary Club Prepares for 1st Choptank Chill and Cheer

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – In Cambridge, the city’s Rotary Club is coming together Saturday to take a dip and raise some money.

The Rotary Club is hosting their first ever Choptank Chill and Cheer Polar Plunge this Saturday, with the proceeds benefitting the Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence.

The council says the Rotary Club has gotten upwards of 50 people to sign up to take the plunge.

And while they don’t have a specific financial goal, the Council is excited to make the plunge an annual tradition to start the year.

Mid-Shore Council Executive Director, Jeanne Yeager tells WMDT, “We could not provide those services without community partners and great organizations like the Rotary Clubs, who who actually dedicate their time and effort to support the community, programs and nonprofits just like mature. So we value this relationship greatly…”

If you’re interested in registering before the plunge this Saturday, January 3rd, you can visit the Rotary Club’s Facebook page to sign up.

The event will start at the Hyatt Regency at 2 P.M.
