SU Field Hockey Downs Kenyon in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

The Sea Gulls (17-1) beat the Kenyon College Ladies (15-7) 3-0 today to advance to the third round of the NCAA regional tournament.

Abbey Shobe put the Gulls on the board 25 minutes into the first half off of a Kristen Yingling shot. In the second half, Casie Preisch rocketed a pass from Arrielle Johnston to the back of the cage, to give SU a 2-0 lead. Natalie Wilkinson scored the final goal of the game in the 66th minute. The Gulls offense boasted a 16-9 shot advantage over Kenyon.

SU will face Ursinus College at home on Sunday at 1pm. The winner will head to Geneva, N.Y. for the NCAA semifinals.
