Driver Abandons Car After Rolling Over, Knocking Down Pole

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Georgetown Fire Company responded to a rollover crash on Christmas Eve.

At 10:56 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, crews responded to the 16000 block of Seashore Highway for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival on the scene, responding units confirmed that the vehicle was overturned on its roof, with a pole down. It was noted that all occupants had fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.

The scene has been turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.
