A very merry shoe donation

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. — Christmas is just eight days away, and Christian Shelter Inc. is preparing something special for the kids.

Executive Director Anthony Dickerson bought pajamas and shoes for the children at the shelter in hopes of bringing the Christmas spirit. He purchased 13 pairs of shoes, saying they will help the kids “go far in their future endeavors” and symbolize walking in the direction of success.

“The shoes signify walking in the direction of success,” Dickerson said. “I always tell them that, because one year, for New Year’s Day, we bought new shoes for our church to signify that we’re walking a new path and in a new direction.”

Dickerson is wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas this holiday season.
