Authorities locate body of missing Princess Anne boater

MARYLAND  – The Maryland Natural Resources Police has concluded the search for a missing Princess Anne boater.

Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, NRP flight crew members spotted the body of 65-year-old Gregg Allan Thomas near the southwest shore of South Marsh Island in Tangier Sound.

Thomas’ commercial vessel was found unmanned and in gear back on December 1 in the area of Holland Straits.

Thomas reportedly left Deal Island to commercially harvest oysters that morning.

The search went on for 11 days and included support from multiple agencies.
