Christmas Tree Drop-off in Worcester County

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md – Commissioners passed a Christmas Tree Amnesty at the last county meeting. Officials will now be accepting Christmas trees after the holiday season.

You can drop them off at the Central Landfill, or the transfer stations in Berlin, Snow Hill, and Pocomoke.

Residents must have a county homeowners permit to drop off the trees.  The centers are accepting them from December 26th to January 31st.

Worcester County Recycling Manager, Bob Keenan, says they have a goal they are hoping to reach.

“Just to let you know, last year we had 75 trees that were brought in, and the year before that, only 16. So the hope is to get to that 100 threshold.”

Drop off times are Monday through Saturday – from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applicable tipping fees will be assessed.
