DE State Fire Marshal’s office investigating three storm rel

house fires in sussex county that caused minor damages to the first one and severe damages to the second the third. and according to officials all three fires are believed to been caused by lightning strike. the first investigation occurred at a home in laurel. firefighters arrives to scene before 10:30 pm wednesday to find fire on the exterior of the residence. the second investigation happened at a single residence in millsboro – where police responded just before midnight. officials say the fire started in the attic. the third investigation — at a home in lewes — firefighters responded to the scene shortly after 1:30 am — that fire also started in the attic. . 47 abc spoke to a neighbor that lives across from the home in lewes, who tells us what she saw. carrol halloran, lewes, de “lightning hit it. you can hear it crack and everybody came out and looked. it was terrible actually. i was so glad they weren’t there.” fire officials say there were no reported injuries in any of the three fires. fire crews responded early this morning to stockyard
