Md. Wraparound Services hosts annual coat drive

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – With the first snow fall on Delmarva, a local group is ensuring the community stays bundled up.

Maryland Wraparound Services held its annual coat drive Friday morning in Princess Anne. Volunteers opened up the space in the downtown district and stocked it with donated winter coats, as well as other gear like hats, gloves and sweaters.

Director of operations, Lisa Harmon said showing up for the community during the holidays each year is important and they’re always in need of donations.

“We know that there are people that are in need, and we’re a mental health services, so we work with a lot of people who are homeless, who are out in the weather and the elements and need to be warm and protected, and we want to actually build our footprint,” Harmon said.

You can drop off donations at 1118 E. Main St., Salisbury, or 11826 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne.
