Foodie Friday: From Scratch

CRISFIELD, Md. – Janet at From Scratch can cook!

She had a few dishes in store for WMDT’s Leila Weah to try during her visit.

“I’m going to be starting out with their cream of crab soup; I’ve never had cream of crab soup, so I’m very excited for this,” Leila said. “It’s in a bread bowl; it’s lookin’ all hearty.”

“For it being my first bowl of cream of crab soup, they’ve definitely set the bar high. I don’t really know if many restaurants can stack up to this, I mean, we’re in Crisfield, so they know a thing or two about seafood,” Leila added.

Now let’s get into some cheesesteak action.

“This cheesesteak was named best cheesesteak in Somerset County, not even just in Crisfield, in Somerset County,” Leila said.

“I think Janet read my mind because she picked the right cheese for me. I like pepperjack cheese, but I think pepperjack cheese would’ve been a little too much for this,” Leila added. “American cheese is the right thing to put on this.”
