First responders meet and greet!

SALISBURY, Md. — First responders hosted a meet and greet Friday afternoon at mission BBQ in Salisbury.

Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis said it’s a great chance for the community to interact with law enforcement in a different way. He said its important to make those good memories because often times folks see law enforcement at the worst times of their lives.

“When they call us and they need us or they see us when they’ve committed a traffic infraction on our roadways, to be able to interact with the sheriff’s office, the state police, our natural resource police here today. This has been a great opportunity for our community and to be seated inside with them and interacting with them. This is what this is all about. ” said Sheriff Lewis.

The event took place from 11-1.
