Salisbury Zoo to Host Inclusive Craft Night

SALISBURY, Md. — The Salisbury Zoo is hosting a fall-themed inclusive craft event Tuesday night. Community members can join the zoo in making a turkey headband and reflecting on what they’re thankful for this year.

The sensory-friendly event is designed to be inclusive, with a focus on individuals with developmental disabilities. Attendees can also meet and watch a special presentation from a surprise animal ambassador.

“Our inclusive craft night is a time for people to come in who might not like loud spaces or large crowds, and just want an opportunity for themselves or their kids to do something fun and meet one of our ambassador animals,” Salisbury Zoo employee Michelle Angell said.

Tickets for the craft night must be purchased online prior to event. If you can’t make this one, the zoo will host another inclusive craft night on December 16th.
