Local activist group works to clean up bay, save sea animals

OCEAN CITY, Md. – A good Samaritan in Ocean City is helping a local activist group clean up the bay and help save sea animals.

That group is called Blume’s Balloon Round Up, and they work together to pick up trash and balloons out of the ocean. On Wednesday, someone sent a picture to the group of a balloon that was found and properly disposed of.

The group says that effort and the help of two others who picked up balloons back in October takes them to a total number of 2,814 balloons taken out of the bay.
