DSP Investigating Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Delmar
DELMAR, Del. – The Delaware State Police (DSP) are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed one on Thursday evening.
At 5:12 p.m. on Nov. 13, police say a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on Sussex Highway approaching West Snake Road. For reasons still under investigation, the GMC left the west side of the roadway, crossed the median and entered the southbound lane. The GMC then exited the west side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver, a 30-year-old man from Georgetown, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.
DSP Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash. Troopers ask anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to contact Sergeant A.
