Veterans Day ceremony held at Veterans Memorial Park

OCEAN PINES, Md. – The Worcester County Veterans Memorial Foundation hosted a beloved Veterans Day tradition in Ocean Pines.

It was to honor all that have served in the United States Military. The event included patriotic music, salutes, poems, and dedications.

Many elected officials attended including Worcester County Commissioner Ted Elder and Diana Purnell. Worcester County Sheriff Matt Crisafulli also attended the event. And lastly, Senator Mary Beth Carozza was on hand for the event.

Colonel John Fenzel was the keynote speaker and tells WMDT what Veterans Day means to him.

“This is a special place that honors all our veterans in all the services. And it’s important to recognize that remembrance and recognition are dependent on our collective action.”

Seaside Christian Academy students sang the American classic, ‘God Bless America.’ They also directed the Pledge of Allegiance.
