DSP investigating toddler’s death in Dover

Delaware State Police detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the Sunday morning death of a 16-month-old boy, officials said.
Shortly after 3:45 AM, troopers responded to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where an unresponsive toddler had been brought in by his parents. Officials say that lifesaving measures were taken to revive the child at the hospital, but that they were unsuccesful. The boy was pronounced dead at 3:54 AM, police said.
The Delaware Division of Forensic Science is currently investigating the cause and manner of the child's death.
