School bus collides with deer in Cambridge, minor injuries reported

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge Police responding to what officials are calling a mass casualty school bus incident Thursday.

Around 4 p.m., the Cambridge Police Department responded to the area near Route 16 and Race Street for a report of a school bus colliding with a deer.

Staff from Dorchester County Public Schools responded to the scene as well.

12 students reported minor injuries to the school nurse.

Police say all students are safe and in the custody of their parents.
