Millsboro woman arrested following domestic related incident
MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Millsboro woman Wednesday evening after investigating a reported domestic incident.
Shortly after 8 p.m., troopers were called to a residence in the 27000 block of Pot of Gold Circle for a reported physical domestic. A 54-year-old male victim told police that he and his girlfriend, 42-year-old Michelle Corbitt, had gotten into an altercation, during which Corbitt physically assaulted him. She also allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened to kill him.
The victim suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.
Corbitt was still inside the residence when troopers arrived and refused to answer the door. Troopers then made entry into the residence and tried to take Corbitt into custody, but she continued to resist arrest and pulled away as they were trying to place her in handcuffs.
She was eventually taken into custody and was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest with force or violence, terroristic threatening, and third degree assault. She was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $27,000 secured bond.
