Byrd Park Closed due to Flooding

SNOW HILL, Md. – The Snow Hill Police Department announced on Friday afternoon that Byrd Park will be closed until further notice.

The park is currently experiencing tidal flooding from the recent inclement weather. The area will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until the waters subside.

Police ask that the public not attempt to drive around the barricades and around the circle, as the water is over a foot deep in some places. It is expected that waters will recede after several days.
