Crisfield police is collecting coats to help local families stay warm
CRISFIELD, Md. — As temperatures begin to drop, the Crisfield Police Department is partnering up with a local community leader and is asking the community to help keep local families warm this winter.
Officers are hosting a winter coat drive throughout October and November, collecting new and gently used coats of all sizes. Donations can be dropped off at the Crisfield Police Department at any time of day.
The effort is part of a broader mission to support families who may be struggling to afford cold-weather gear.
“I would just love for our community to partner together and work together to help our families in need,” said community leader Kenisha Le’Cole. “We just never know what people are going through, and this is a great way to bring our community together.”
Organizers say even one donation can make a big difference.
