Local nonprofit hosts breast cancer conference

SALISBURY, Md. — The local nonprofit organization Women Supporting Women is hosting a Breast Cancer 101 Educational Conference on Saturday, Nov. 1. The conference will be held at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

The conference will feature guest speakers, vendors, and a complimentary breakfast. Organizers encourage all those who are affected by breast cancer to attend, especially caregivers.

“It’s really important for the people that care for them, that are around them, have the same understanding, the same level of support and empathy for their survivor,” Women Supporting Women Marketing Coordinator Raven Cook said.
