Annual River City Arts Festival raise funds to benefit the arts

The annual River City Arts Festival also took place April 29th, 2017.

Salisbury's Wicomico Arts Council hosted this event in order to benefit the arts.

Multiple vendors were available including art demos, wood carvings, and glassware.

We are told all the money will go back to a general fund which can provide art scholarships and grants.

The arts council's executive director, Therese Hamilton, tells us the city and county have been more than helpful in assisting the festival.

Hamilton says the arts are an economic and academic engine, Maryland funds over 15,000 people through art-related jobs.
