Salvation Army Working to Distribute Exelon Grant

 

 

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Salvation Army is teaming up with mid-shore counties to help people pay to keep the lights and heat on in their homes this winter.

In Cambridge, the organization is partnering with local Social Service Offices.

The efforts reach across five counties to provide money through the Exelon Grant Program.

One of the Majors at the Salvation Army in Cambridge says they’re trying to help look out for some of the more vulnerable members of the public trying to get by.

“And especially in the economy that we’re living in, a lot of our seniors, single parents homes that are in need of this assistance will it’s there for them to be able to apply for,” says Major Raquel Lorenzo.

The five counties distributing the Exelon Grant include Dorchester, Talbot, Caroline, Kent, and Queen Anne’s counties.
