DSP thanking community members for the opportunity to serve and give back
DELAWARE – Delaware State Police are thanking the community for the opportunity to serve and give back.
On Friday, authorities sent out their thank you letter to the public, announcing that this is the 36th year they were able to participate in their “Needy Family Christmas Initiative”. State Police say they were able to donate to the Murphey School for another year, giving clothes and food to foster kids aged 7 to 17.
They say the reason they do this is to turn their tears into smiles on Christmas morning.
