Trial postponed for man charged in fatal Sinepuxent Bay boating accident

A trial has been postponed for a man involved in a Sinepuxent Bay boating accident that resulted in the death of a nine year old boy last August.

Online court records show that a motions hearing is set in the case of Dustin Healey for Monday. A defense attorney says that the motion is to dismiss the case.

Healey, the operator of the boat, faces negligent operation of a vessel charges. Tyler Barnes, the operator of the company that rented out the boat, pleaded guilty earlier this month.

Kaden Frederick, one of seventeen people aboard the pontoon boat, slipped off the bow and died after being hit by the propeller.
