#GMONEYSTRONG brings Millsboro Little League teams together

Millsboro Little League baseball player Garrett Rodgers, is still in the hospital battling injuries received after being hit by a car a few weeks ago. Saturday a fundraiser was held to help Garrett’s family. A Corvette was among the items being auctioned off at a BBQ outside the right field fence of one of the fields.
Shirts were also being sold, the front bearing the words “Heart of a Ranger”, paying tribute to Garrett’s late father, who was an Army Ranger. 47ABC caught up with Garrett’s coach, Josh Wharton, who spoke to 47ABC Saturday morning saying “Today is the chance for the community to come together as one in support for Garret and show him a little bit of love and a lot of support.”
Garrett’s team took the field around 1PM Saturday, sporting their bright yellow #GMONEYSTRONG shirts in support of their teammate and friend. And in a moment of sportsmanship, the opposing Dodgers squeezed in tight for the picture, as they yelled with the heart of rangers, “GMONEYSTRONG”.
