Two arrested on assault, other related charges
DELMAR, Md. – Two people were arrested on multiple charges following an assault incident Friday evening in Delmar.
Police say they were called to a room at the Country Hearth Inn for a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived, they heard screaming coming from inside the room, and found four children from the room outside in the rain with no shoes on.
Deputies then made contact with the adult occupants, 41-year-old Jonas Sine and 32-year-old Denise Satchell, who were reportedly uncooperative and had injuries from their mutual assault. Both continued to act disorderly and cause a disturbance for other motel guests.
Sine and Satchell were subsequently arrested, and police say that both remained uncooperative and Satchell was assaultive towards deputies. Both were charged with second degree assault, failure to obey a reasonable order, and four counts of reckless endangerment, and Satchell was also charged with resisting arrest and a total of three counts of second degree assault.
