The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says they’re investigation a house fire in Magnolia that destroyed two other neighboring homes in it’s path.

According to reports, the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 100 block of Viola Drive, shortly after 5:00 PM Sunday, after neighbors reported seeing smoke in the area of the house. Reports say, firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the home, that was unoccupied at the time of the blaze. The Magnolia Fire Company was reportedly assisted by neighboring fire companies who fought the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control.

Fire officials say no injuries were reported. Residents effected by the fire are apparently being assisted by the American Red Cross of Delmarva. Fire damage is reportedly estimated to over $500,000.

Deputy fire marshals are apparently on scene investigating the origin and cause of the flames.
