Foodie Friday: Palm Beach Bar and Grille
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – You want food, you find a restaurant. You want flavor, you find Palm Beach Bar and Grille in Rehoboth Beach.
The family-owned business is the epitome of Floridian fusion. From the sugary sweet plantains to the dishes you’d only find down south, Chefs Dakota Phillips and James Petion made WMDT’s Leila Weah their entree trifecta– a crab cake sandwich, an island rice bowl and their mouthwatering Caribbean flank steak.
“It’s like the chef knew just how I like my steak. The perfect amount of pink in it, it’s very tender and very flavorful,” said Leila.
The steak was delicious, but let’s see how the crab cake compares.
“Now this right here, this is a voluptuous crab cake,” said Leila. “I speak too soon, because we’re always trying food; this is our job, we have to try food. I promise you this is the best crab cake I’ve ever had.”
It’s not every day you see a dish plated so perfectly. Leila was excited to dig into the pineapple rice bowl goodness and try all of the flavors.
“This looks very healthy to me. Yes, it has fried rice, but the fried rice is inside of a pineapple, and there’s also salmon on it, so this is a win in my book today,” said Leila.
“If there was one thing I’d recommend getting, I’d recommend getting the whole spread that they brought out, to be honest,” said Leila. “If someone was like, ‘Hey, I want to go to this restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, what should I get?’ I would say get the pineapple bowl.”
Palm Beach Bar and Grille is located at 18585 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach, DE. If you visit them make sure to tell them you saw them on Foodie Friday.
